The characters all look unique and when they are consumed by Kirby the traits that pass over are very well done. The whole game looks absolutely amazing with no part of it letting the side down. You don’t have to worry too much about who is playing this so if you want to play with friends or with your kid, it’ll go over smoothly with either choice. This game is most certainly suitable for an audience of any age. Kirby and his friends have to traverse the galaxy and defeat King Dedede, Meta Knight, and many others as they are possessed by the fragments. The game sets off with a dark crystal heart exploding, sending fragments all around the galaxy which cause mayhem wherever they land. The story to this game is pretty cut and dry for the game type. Its one of the few games where everyone playing actually feels like they’re playing and not just waggling a remote around for no reason.Īs the game progresses, the puzzles get a little more challenging but the AI don’t fall behind the curve as they are surprisingly adept at assisting you properly. The other players in this title have much more control and input than I’ve really ever seen before. Many of the other Kirby games have coop but it’s never been quite as good as this. It is not dissimilar to a 2.5D Super Mario Odyssey or Trine 4: The Nightmare Prince.Įasily, the best part of this game is its cooperative capabilities. Once he has the powers, Kirby can then battle enemies more efficiently and solve certain puzzles with said powers. Kirby’s most prominent ability is absorption, wherein he eats an enemy and gains their powers. The gameplay is 2.5D so it’s a simple run left, run right, and jump to move and a few simple moves. This game has you play as Kirby and his friends as he traverses through multiple stunning and colorful worlds while defeating enemies and solving puzzles.
